Roman Kemp will take the next two weeks off his role as host on Capital Radio following the tragic death of his best friend.

The Capital Breakfast presenter, 27, was left devastated after his pal and co-worker Joe Lyons suddenly died on August 4.

Roman and his co-presenters Sian Welby and Sonny Jay took time off from the show after being told the heartbreaking news.

The trio returned to work on August 10 for the first time since Joe's death.

Now, the former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! finalist has decided to take a longer break away from the show.

He will be replaced by Capital duo Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield, who will fill Roman's shoes for the next 14 days.

Over the weekend, the telly star jetted off on a a well-deserved holiday to the sun-soaked Greek island of Mykonos with a bunch of his pals.

Roman has been joined by his Capital co-host Sonny Jay and the pair have been sharing some snazzy snaps from their lads getaway.

In one sizzling snapshot, Roman showed off his six-pack against the backdrop of a stunning ocean view as he guzzled a bottle of water in a bid to cool down.

The handsome son of Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp put his extensive tattoo collection on full display as he exposed his bulging muscles and toned physique.

Following the sudden death of Joe, Roman decided to add to his body ink to remember his dear friend with a touching tribute.

Taking to his Instagram Story last week, the DJ revealed a new tattoo of a bird on his leg and explained the sweet reason behind it.

Roman first shared a picture of Joe's tattoo and wrote: "Joe had this tattoo and I always used to say it was awful and looked like a pigeon."

He then posted a photo of himself lying on a tattoo parlour bed with the inking on his leg and shared: "So I got it in the same spot..."

Roman also took to social media to celebrate his friend's life in a lengthy post when he wrote: "You will always be my brother, my best mate and my partner. Everyday I’m missing seeing you and just wish I could show you how many people know you’re the best.

"You taught me everything I know, I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn’t for you sat by my side for the last 6 years. Pushing me and supporting me through everything.

"I can only hope I gave you the same love, loyalty and outrageous amounts of fun that you gave me."

Joe worked at Capital FM's parent company Global for nine years prior to his death and had worked with Roman since 2016.
