Reese Witherspoon has introduced her fans to an adorable new addition to her family.

The Morning Show star, 44, has welcomed a brand new puppy to her growing clan, just weeks after losing her beloved French bulldog Pepper.

The actress took to her Instagram to share a snap of her gorgeous new dog, writing alongside a photo of her: “Introducing Minnie Pearl. Welcome to the family little one.”

On her Instagram Story, Witherspoon shared a video of herself playing with the new pup, writing: "Meet Minnie Pearl!" while Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder played.

Minnie Pearl’s arrival comes just three weeks after Reese broke the news to fans that her beloved French bulldog Pepper had died.

On October 20, the mum-of-three took to Instagram to tell of the heartbreaking news.

In a post which featured a throwback picture of Pepper looking happily at the camera while sitting on a field of grass, Reese wrote: “Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday.”

She went on: “My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member."

"I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family," the Oscar winner added.

"Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is. That’s what I believe.

"We will always love you, Pepper," she concluded the post.

The gorgeous grey dog had long been a fixture of the actress' family, along with her other dogs Nash and Hank.

Reese’s daughter Ava Phillippe shared her own post at the time, revealing Pepper had died from an aggressive cancer that she had been battling for months.

Alongside a series of pictures of the furry family member, Ava, 21, wrote: “Just when we thought she was getting better, things took a turn for the worst, and she passed peacefully, surrounded by those who love her."

Revealing the dog’s "smart" and "sassy” personality, Reese’s lookalike daughter went on: "She enjoyed playing in the yard with our Labrador, Hank, and would make everyone laugh with her surprisingly speedy 'zoomies' around the house.

“She also had a unique way of expressing herself with funny little noises that sounded like they were from some sort of pigeon.”

The youngster had a special bond with the pooch, who’d helped her "through so many tough times, including some of my teenage years."

"I'll always treasure the times when I’d come home from college and she would meet me at the door, jumping for joy, and I'd pick her up so she could lick my face," Ava wrote.

"She really knew how to make me feel special! As sad as I am and as much as I've cried over losing her, I am happy she had such a great life and is no longer in pain.
