Rebekah Vardy has landed a big money deal to be a contestant on Dancing On Ice amid her reported £1 million court case against rival WAG, Coleen Rooney.
The 38-year-old mother-of-five – who is married to 33-year-old football ace Jamie Vardy – is said to be getting a £50,000 pay cheque to star in the upcoming 13th season of Dancing On Ice.
The star is said to have auditioned for a role on the show as a means of escaping the stress of the ongoing Wagatha Christie trial – which saw Becky and 34-year-old rival Coleen, wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, launch legal action against each other amid accusations Rebekah leaked Coleen’s private life details to the press.
The five-figure sum might not offset the looming libel case the star is launching against Coleen, however, which is reportedly set to cost £1 million.
A source told The Sun on Sunday of the Dancing On Ice casting: “Landing Becky is a huge coup.
“She’ll bring star quality to their line-up and interest from footie fans.
"Of course viewers will be watching for any references to Wagatha Christie.”
The star is said to be keen to make a return to the spotlight after featuring on I’m A Celeb back in 2017.
The source said: “She can’t live under a shadow forever and wants to remind people she’s a fun mum.”
Last year, Rebekah was thrust into the spotlight when Coleen sensationally accused her of leaking details of her private life to the press.
The spat quickly garnered the nickname 'Wagatha Christie' after Coleen detailed that she had shared false information about herself on social media posts – the details of which then made their way in to headlines.
The star claimed she had restricted access to the posts to all but one follower......... Rebekah Vardy's account.
Shocked Rebekah – who was heavily pregnant with her fifth child at the time – vehemently protested her innocence.
Legal action was launched when Coleen accused Rebekah of breach of privacy, while Rebekah launched a counter suit arguing her rival's comments amounted to defamation.
