Tributes have been pouring in for rapper Rollie Bands, after the rising star was shot and killed outside his home just minutes after reportedly telling his enemies "I’m at my crib" via Instagram

Rapper Rollie Bands has been shot and killed outside his home, moments after reportedly telling his enemies "I’m at my crib" via Instagram.

The music star was reportedly gunned down outside his Florida home shortly after sharing the social media post.

According to HipHopDX, the late rapper wrote: "A lot of these n***** know where I live at fr.

"I sleep in peace. If a n**** want smoke I’m at my crib in 5 mins."

The New York Post reports the late star was shot five minutes, at around 3.30pm, after sharing the Instagram post on Friday.

In a statement shared with the American publication, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said: "At this time, the shooting does not appear random, as the suspects and victim are possibly known to each other."

It's reported that the late star was shot once in the parking lot of his apartment complex. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly couldn't be saved.

Police have asked anyone with any information to contact them on (813) 247-8200 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-8477 with any information.

As the news of his death broke online, tributes poured in for the up-and-coming rapper.

Many have paid tribute to the late rapper on social media

"My heart goes out to rapper Rollie Bands in Tampa that was shot and killed. Regardless, it’s sad," one fan wrote on Twitter over the weekend, with another adding: "rest in paradise to Rollie Bands. So sad and senseless. He should still be alive."

DJ Akademiks took to Instagram to mourn the loss of the rapper, captioning an article discussing Rollie's death: "RIP Rollie Bands."

"I hate Rollie Bands got taken care of like that. Rip that man," another online tribute reads.

Rollie - believed to be in his mid-twenties at the time of his death - was a rising star on the Tampa music scene and has almost 6,000 followers on his Instagram account.

The late star often shared music videos to his YouTube channel - with some posts boasting over 28,000 views.

Fans have taken to the comment section of his final post on the platform, Pusha P/Too Easy (freestyle), to mourn his passing and discuss his talents.

"Damn he was actually good," one fan noted on Sunday, with another adding: "Rip man I just found out about him in I feel his music so hard."

A third mused: "Never knew you until the story. Unfortunate you never made it, but at least your killers won’t either. RIP."
