Paige Turley gave a proposal hint while her boyfriend Finn Tapp shared the couple's plans to take the next step in their relationship
Paige Turley hinted at a proposal while her boyfriend Finn Tapp opened up about their next huge step together.
The Love Island couple looked closer than ever when they supported Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, in Manchester, ahead of the glittering ceremony on Sunday.
In an exclusive chat with Mirror Online last week, Paige opened up about her dream wedding before jesting she had better let Finn propose first.
With good humour, she told us: "Aye, let's let him pop the question."
Paige gushed over the romantic notion of people tying the knot in coronavirus times just to be married.
But the Scottish beauty has her heart set on a big show-stopping wedding with all her family in attendance.
She told Mirror Online: "We've actually, in Manchester, we've seen a bride and a groom.
"I think it's so lovely because you're doing it to be married to someone. I've always dreamt of the big wedding. I want all my family there..."
While a proposal is something that can still happen, Finn agreed the couple plan to get married when all their family and friends can be there.
At the moment, numbers have been reduced to a maximum of 15 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Finn agreed: "Proposals are something that can happen but you want your wedding day to be really memorable.
"To be as perfect as you want it to be and with us wanting it to be with all our family and friends there."
Paige chimed in: "We both have big families."
However, Finn revealed the loved-up couple were ready for the next big stage of their romance.
Naturally they're ready after happily settling into their new love nest together in Manchester in lockdown.
The former footballer admitted he "slowly and surely" giving into his girlfriend's desire to get a puppy.
Paige said: "I've been trying so hard!"
Now they've got to decide which breed and what name.
Fin added: "I'm slowly and surely agreeing, maybe a puppy is having that next step.
"We're now just coming up with what breed and what name."
Paige and Finn were exclusively invited by Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards for a red carpet-style shoot.
The bombshell looked absolutely stunning in a scarlet red gown which featured a revealing neckline and backless design.
Her boyfriend didn't let her down on the style stakes as he looked equally sharp in his suit and tie for the occasion.
They have both watched the Pride of Britain for years with their families respectively.
Paige said: "It was so lovely. We are so grateful to be involved of Pride of Britain.
"My family and I have watched the show - [To Finn] yours did as well? - and it's always so emotional. We are so overwhelmed we've been able to be involved."
They shared the importance of celebrating Britain's heroes after the UK faced a really difficult year with the coronavirus pandemic.
Finn said: "I think it's been such a dark, negative year for a lot of people so it's a chance to celebrate the good things that have happened.
"I get that it's important we speak about the virus but I think to step back and think of all the good things people are doing as well is important."
Paige agreed: "I think it's just been a really difficult year for everybody so I think more than ever, to celebrate the heroes and the good things that have happened this year."
