Pregnant Charlotte Dawson cries as she discovers unborn baby's gender at lavish bash

The daughter of comedian Les Dawson announced she was expecting her first child earlier this month

Charlotte Dawson broke down in tears as she discovered she is expecting a baby boy at a lavish gender reveal party.

The reality star, who is the daughter of comedian Les Dawson, announced she's expecting her first baby with fiancé Matthew Sarsfield earlier this month.

For the family-attended gender reveal party, Charlotte donned a stunning strapless white jumpsuit that showed off her blossoming bump.

She then appeared on camera beside Matthew as they stood in front of a large black balloon containing coloured confetti that would reveal if they were having a baby boy or girl.

After a countdown the excited pair popped the balloon together which left blue paper raining down over them.

Charlotte, 27, became immediately overwhelmed with emotion and burst into tears.

"So excited, we’re having a chuffing boy! We’re having a mini Matt!” the former Celebs Go Dating star told OK! magazine afterwards.

Then paying tribute to her late dad Les Dawson, Charlotte corrected herself by adding: "A mini Matt and a mini Les together!

"I just am so excited to have a boy! So excited! A mummy’s boy!"

Charlotte and Matt have been together four years and bought their first house two years ago.

"This just feels like the right next step. I always said to my mum that we’d have a baby before we got married.

“My mum’s 70 next year and I want her to get loads of time with her grandchild. It just feels like perfect timing for us. I do still want that rock one day – especially if I’m pushing a baby out of my womb!”

While Matt added: “I’m so excited, too. It’s been so good for us and we can’t wait for it now.”

Charlotte previously revealed she was overwhelmed to discover her first baby is due just days away from what would have been her dad's 90th birthday.

The comedian died after suffering a major heart attack when Charlotte was 18 months old.
