It's impossible to watch Good Morning Britain for more than five minutes without Piers Morgan starting an argument.

The outspoken presenter has spats with his co-hosts, guests and Government ministers when they bother to turn up.

TV wife Susanna Reid does her best - but there is only one woman that has ever been able to control him.

Behind every great man is an even greater woman, which is very much the case with Piers' wife, Celia Walden.

Journalist Celia, his "considerably better half", is much lauded for having the patience of a Saint to be able to put up with Piers on a daily basis.

Remarkably, during 10 years of marriage, the loved-up couple have only had three explosive rows - and she's not afraid to mercilessly mock her husband in public.

Piers started dating Celia back in 2006 when he was separated from but still married to first wife Marion Shallow.

The GMB host and his first wife, who share sons Albert, 19, Stanley, 22, and Spencer, 26, were married to from 1991 to 2008.

After divorcing Marion in 2008, Piers married Celia in June 2010 before the birth of their daughter Elise in November 2011.

Piers has claimed that the pair have only had three explosive showdowns in the 15 years they have been together.

"We don't really argue. Because I spend all day shouting at people so I get home and I can't be bothered," he told actress Goldie Hawn during a GMB interview in May this year.

Stunned Susanna asked: "Seriously? So you spend three hours a day arguing with me for your job and that means that you don't argue with Celia?"

Straight-faced Piers replied: "Yes seriously. In 15 years I can count on three fingers the amount of proper arguments. I just can't be bothered.

"Once that doors shut give me a glass of wine, I'm easily pleased, and also I'm always right, she's just accepted that. I don't want all that frenzy."

The couple are parents to cheeky eight-year-old daughter Elise, which means with his sons all grown up that Piers lives in a house controlled by women.

During an appearance on Lorraine in 2018, Celia opened up on the intimate details of their home life.

"It is quite grounding. She definitely puts him in his place," said Celia while discussing Pier's relationship with his daughter.

When asked if she was the one who wears the trousers in the marriage, hesitant Celia claimed she just lets Piers think he has the power.

"Uhh yes, I think so," she replied.

“I think women are always quietly in charge, I just think it’s best to let the men think that they are.”

Despite her husband's fiery reputation, Celia is not afraid to publicly wind him up with some hilarious social media posts.

In a 2020 new year's message, Celia posted a snap of Piers with grey hair using an aging filter.

Alongside the hilarious snap she wrote: "They told me I’d wake up married to an old man one day, I just thought we had more time."

She even cheekily added the captions: "#wheredidthetimego#primarycaregiver".

Amid the UK coronavirus lockdown, Piers got his loving wife to cut his hair so he would look professional on GMB.

To wind her husband up, Celia shared the snap with her own followers, but playfully joked she had "shaved her initials" onto his head.

She said: "I don’t know what’s funnier: that he believed me when I said I could cut hair - or that I just shaved my initials into the back of his head #homehairdressing #nofoollikeafurryfool."

In June this year, the happy couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

Full of confidence as ever, Piers claimed that it was Celia that "got lucky" a decade ago.

"We are going to have a wild celebration - we will probably go to the kitchen and and go for the curry," Piers said on GMB.

"She is punching, wow."

Not happy to let that one slide, Susanna turned the tables to claim it was actually Piers who should feel fortunate.

"Honestly you are punching above your weight," claimed Susanna.

In a message to Celia, Susanna continued: "I am glad I am able to take him off your hands every morning. At least you can have a rest."

Recently, Celia was left devastated when a treasured possession gifted by Piers was stolen during a family holiday.

The pair were burgled in the villa where they were holidaying in Côte d’Azur in the South of France while they slept.

Celia shared that the "depraved and despicable" thieves took cash and jewellery from their holiday home, including a special anniversary gift she had been given by her husband.

Writing for The Telegraph, Celia revealed just how much it hurt to realise a much -loved item had been taken from her.

"The jewellery part did sting. It still stings now, almost a week on," wrote Celia.

Despite trying to convince herself that they are only material objects, Celia described how they are also "memories that have been trampled over."

Listing the objects taken, she noted: "The art deco ring my husband had bought me for our fifth wedding anniversary; the vintage Pucci cuff I’d picked up a flea market in LA; those earrings I’d bought from Alfies Antique Market on the Edgware Road when my first book advance came through: every last piece I had with me was gone, none of it of great value, all of it irreplaceable."

The horrifying experience has only brought the couple closer together.

And they won't be able to leave each other's sides for the next two weeks as they are forced to quarantine after arriving home from Spain.
