Piers Morgan has slammed Kim Kardashian in a furious rant for the way she's handling Kanye West's bipolar after she endorsed him running for US president.
The controversial host, 55, has hit out at the "selfish and reckless" reality star as she asked for "compassion and empathy" for her rapper husband during the difficult time.
Kim, 39, begged for privacy amid concerns for her husband, after his outburst of disturbing tweets about her family, which reportedly left her furious.
In his MailOnline column, Piers pointed out Kim scrutinised the media two years ago for "demonising" her husband, yet she reacted differently after his recent Twitter outburst with several personal attacks on her.
Kim, who shares four children with Kanye, also supported him with his presidential bid in recent weeks, despite knowing he has bipolar and could have a "bad episode" at anytime, according to the GMB host.
Piers slammed the star's decision as "potentially catastrophic" for America and the rest of the world.
He wrote: "Self-evidently, someone who suffers such severe episodes like this should not be President of the United States.
"Yet, Kim Kardashian watched her sick husband say he intended to run for president and enthusiastically endorsed it on the same day by retweeting his announcement with an emoji of an American flag."
Piers said Kim was "outrageously irresponsible" as she put the thought of becoming First Lady "above the country's national interests".
The Good Morning Britain host revealed Kim has known about his condition for "at least four years" and that his illness makes him a "very unstable person".
Piers is outraged that Kim continues to throw her support behind him knowing he is "prone to severe episodes where he often behaves in a dangerously erratic manner".
The star made significant contributions to Kanye's campaign as she retweeted his link to how to register to vote for her 65million followers.
He added: "Yet she still threw her huge social media firepower behind his presidential bid, knowing it would be a potential catastrophe if he actually won.
"Can you imagine the scenario if he had a bad episode at the same moment the US was suddenly faced with a nuclear crisis?"
Referencing Kim's message on how Kanye's bipolar disorder shouldn't "diminish or invalidate his dreams", Piers said it should "absolutely prevent him running for president".
He argued: "That's not perpetuating any stigma about mental illness - I have incredible sympathy for anyone who is bipolar and sincerely hope Kanye gets the help he needs - it's just a cold hard very obvious fact."
He added: "So before everyone goes overboard with their cheers for Kim Kardashian's 'inspiring courage' in speaking out about her husband's mental illness, remember that she vilified the media as liars for saying the same thing two years ago, and she was prepared to put her own chilling ambition before Kanye's health and America's interests to back his presidential run.
"Sorry, but that's not something I feel like cheering."
