Piers Morgan says Prince Harry sharing his political views is 'unacceptable'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have urged voters to 'reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity' in the upcoming US election

Piers Morgan has slammed Prince Harry once again, this time criticising him for sharing his political views.

The Good Morning Britain host accused the royal of "poking his nose" into the US election, saying he is trying to stop American voters from re-electing current President Donald Trump.

In a video broadcast as part of the Time 100 list of influential people, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle called on voters to "reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity".

Taking to Twitter, Piers said he saw this as an indirect call for Americans to vote Trump out, something he called "unacceptable" for a member of the royal family to do.

Piers tweeted: "Prince Harry poking his woke nose into the US election & effectively telling Americans to vote against President Trump is completely unacceptable behaviour for a member of the Royal Family."

The video has also been slammed by Twitter users, with one urging the couple to "mind their own business".

Speaking in the broadcast, Meghan said: "Every four years we are told the same thing, that this is the most important election of our lifetime. But this one is.

"When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard.

"Your voice is a reminder that you matter, because you do and you deserve to be heard."

Harry said that he wasn't able to vote in the UK as a member of the royal family, who are meant to be politically neutral, and he also isn't eligible to vote in the US as he is not yet a citizen.

He said: "As we approach this November, it's vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity.

"When the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our ability to have compassion and our ability to put ourself in someone else's shoes.
