Piers Morgan has demanded Meghan Markle and Prince Harry give up their royal titles because they have so little connection to the area.
The couple were gifted the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex by the Queen after their marriage.
However, Piers, 55, who grew up in East Sussex, is adamant the pair should give the title up now they have stepped down as senior royals and have started new careers as movie producers in the US.
He admitted it's good news they have paid back the £2.4 million to the crown for renovations to their Frogmore Cottage home, which now stands empty.
However, he's convinced they need to stop calling themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Speaking to The Sun, Piers griped: "It's great they've paid back the Frogmore money, it's great they’re not taking any more of Charles’s money, but they've kept the titles.
"If you really want to find freedom, and you really want to divorce the country, why would you keep the titles 'Duke and Duchess of Sussex'? "I'm from Sussex and I bet I've spent more time there over the past week than they have in their entire lives, and yet they want to trade off their royal names to get all this money."
The Good Morning Britain star went on to insist the only reason the couple landed a lucrative deal to make film and TV projects for Netflix is because of their royal titles.

He added: "The only reason Netflix is paying them all this money is because of their royal titles - you think Meghan Markle would have got £1.50 out of them without it?"
Piers echoed his previous comments on the matter during the week, when he demanded the pair give up their titles to fully sever their connection to the crown.
During an episode of GMB this week, he ranted: "I just don't think, as a Sussex resident all my life, I don't think they should be allowed to keep the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
