Piers Morgan has donated £640 to Ian Royce 's funeral after the Britain's Got Talent star tragically passed away earlier this month.
The Good Morning Britain host, 55, paid his respects live on air after hearing the news, as Ian died from "severe pneumonia and multiple organ failure".
Ian's daughter Roxanne has set up a GoFundMe page to raise costs for his forthcoming funeral ceremony.
Although Roxanne had hoped to reach a £5,000 goal "to help pay for the funeral and future memorial" - donors have exceeded her expectations as her page has now raised over £7,000.
Roxanne told donors she plans on donating the remaining cash amongst Ian's favourite charities.
And Piers has done his bit in paying respects by generously donating £640 to the late comedian.
Donating the cash, the outspoken Britain's Got Talent judge penned: "RIP Roycey, and thanks for all the laughs."
The GoFundMe page reads: "Ian Royce was a funny, kind hearted and loved man who felt at home on a stage making everyone laugh.
"Sadly he passed away on 1st September 2020 and leaves behind his daughter Roxanne, father and partner along with many other loving family members and friends."
The statement continued: "Above all he will be remembered for helping others and being a great dad.
"The funds raised here will be donated to Ian's family to help pay for the funeral and future memorial, with any remaining being shared amongst his favourite charities."
The devastating news was announced on September 1st, after a message on his Twitter account detailed the cause of death.
The statement read: "It is with our greatest regret that that Ian has passed away today from severe pneumonia and multiple organ failure.
"He was in no pain but surrounded by friends and family. He put up a good fight but is in a better place now. Roxanne x."
The sad news prompted many tributes from his showbiz pals, including Piers who called him "hilarious and complex" and someone with "a lot of demons".
"Very sad news, yesterday, his daughter let me know," said Piers.
"The most famous person you probably haven't heard of, Roycey was famous to the industry and everyone who worked in it because he was the best, funniest warm up guy."
Ian warmed up the crowd for four series of Britain's Got Talent, one in the US, and Piers' Life Stories show.
Piers went on: "We had so many laughs, he was a funny, complex guy in many ways, he had a lot of demons which people who follow him on social media would have known.
"He had a zest for life, he was hilariously funny, and he had a great love for his daughter Roxanne, our thoughts are with her in particular."
He added: "Fourteen years, always made me laugh, he will be greatly missed by everyone in our business, I will miss him.
"Love to all his family, all his friends. Roycey, thanks for the laughs mate, we will miss you."
