Piers Morgan has 'dodged' the new quarantine rules imposed on travellers from France by jetting back from Saint Tropez hours before the rules change.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter has been sunning himself on the French Riviera for the past few weeks, as he takes a break from the ITV breakfast show.
He has acted quickly to avoid being in self-isolation for 14 days, after the UK government announced that France and the Netherlands have been added to the quarantine list.
France is seeing their coronavirus cases soar again and is currently tracking nearly twice as many as England each day.
A swift decision has been made to add them to the list, effective as of 4am on Saturday, August 15, but Piers has been one step ahead of the game and jetted back to Blighty before he was caught up in a rush by Brits to get home.
Monaco, Malta, Aruba and Turks & Caicos are also among the countries on the quarantine list.
Piers boasted about his quick thinking with a snap that he posted on Instagram of him with his sons Spencer and Bertie in Nice airport departures.
He jokingly captioned the pic: "Quarantine dodgers"
It has been an interesting break for Piers on the Cote D'Azur as he has dined with the rich and famous and also had a horrific injury to contend with.
The TV presenter has documented much of what he has done across the Channel, with boozy lunches with Joan Collins and then Amanda Holden and her family seemingly keeping him in good cheer.
These came after he posted a pic of him on crutches, with which he revealed that he had tore tendons in his leg on the second day of a six week holiday.
He will no doubt spend the rest of his time off from GMB in the UK, especially with coronavirus showing no end to its grip on Europe and the United States.
