Piers Morgan put his new healthy lifestyle to one side as he sunk a few well-earned pints with his brothers.

The Good Morning Britain star has put on half a stone in recent months and says he has been shamed into losing weight.

He is now embraced a new diet and is working with a personal trainer to slim down.

But there are some things he just can't go without.

He took to Instagram to share a snap of himself enjoying a pint alongside his brothers Jeremy and Rupert.

It is the first time the trio have been able to get together this year.

They refueled at the Royal Oak pub in Newick, Sussex - well, losing weight is thirsty work!

Piers grinned as he captioned the photo: "Brothers... reunited for first time this year."

The star recently revealed that burglars stole more than £10,000 from his family while they were in the South of France on holiday.

Things didn't get much better when he returned.

He confessed he's been shamed into going on a diet after he was called names like "fatso", "chubster" and "seven chins" after returning from the break.

Piers, 55, held his hands up to scoffing too much cheese and wine, and is now cutting back to just one glass a day of his favourite Bordeaux.

His wife Celia Walden has now arranged for him to work with a personal trainer and he's going to be eating healthy food such as salmon and vegetables.

Speaking to The Sun, Piers explained how he got ribbed over his weigh gain by his GMB co-star Susanna Reid.

Then cricket legend Kevin Pieterson hit him where it hurts.

He said: "Susanna calls me 'Chubster' and 'Fatso'.

"Even Dr Hilary piled in, and he’s a doctor!... And Kevin Pieterson calls me ‘seven chins’, which isn't very nice. I’m trying to get them down to six."
