Piers Morgan has opened up about what he discussed with Donald Trump after the pair had a phone call over the weekend.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter, who had previously declared himself a close pal of the US President before famously being unfollowed on Twitter, appears to have firmly patched up their friendship.
Sharing an update over the weekend with his 7.6 million Twitter followers, Piers listed several topics that he had discussed with Trump after he claimed that they had a 25-minute phone call.
In the first of several tweets, Piers revealed that Trump was confident that he would remain in office for the next four years.
"Just had a 25-minute chat on the phone with President @realDonaldTrump from the White House. His last words? ‘Piers, I’m going to win,'" the ITV presenter wrote.

When a follower quizzed him on the specifics of the lengthy phone call, Piers then revealed that the pair spoke about a number of political topics.
"We talked about all sorts of stuff - the election, coronavirus, this week's debate, Joe Biden, Boris Johnson..... and scam phone calls he'd received from people pretending to be me," Piers explained.
Piers and Donald's phone call appears to mark the start of a rekindled friendship after several fraught months.
While the GMB star had boasted of his friendship with Donald in the past, the journalist recently slammed the US President over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
At one point, Piers wrote: "President Trump’s bats**t crazy coronavirus “cure” theories are not just shockingly senseless and stupid – they’re going to kill people."
Donald swiftly unfollowed Piers on Twitter following the criticism, appearing to mark the end of their close friendship.
This weekend's phone call appears to have come after Piers appeared on Fox & Friends and begged the President to follow him again on Twitter.
So far, the US President is yet to listen to Piers' message and has not followed him on Twitter.
