Phillip Schofield teased that he was planning to leave his presenting career behind on Tuesday's This Morning.
The silver fox, 58, discussed how he was toying with the idea to retrain as a paramedic after he took part in a Government training quiz that suggested his next career could be as an emergency medical helper.
He joked that "it was an unusual way" to make the announcement but that he was going to train up to work as an ambulance crew member as he and Holly Willoughby prepared to interview mother and daughter paramedics Nicky and Maisie.
And as the pair spoke to Holly and Phil about their important job on the front line they shared that they think Phil would make a great addition to the work force.
Maisie, who was inspired to become a paramedic after her mum retrained aged 40, told: "You just have to be kind and make people laugh - you’d be great at this!"
Nicky also added that she think Phil would be at home as she added: "You would be brilliant! You would look great in green!"
At the start of October Phil dished on social media about his results on the career swap quiz.
Sharing his results with his Instagram followers, he wrote: "As advised by the Govt I'm looking into retraining.. these are the suggested options for me".
Over on Twitter, he was quickly approached by the London Ambulance Service, who said they'd love to have him on board.
The Service's official account shared his Instagram story, writing: "Hi @Schofe - being a paramedic is a rewarding and challenging role. We think you'd be great!"
They then gave him a link to find out more about the ambulance roles currently on offer.
