Phillip Schofield has been seen out for the first time since documenting some of his many showbiz feuds in a new bombshell autobiography.
The 58-year-old This Morning host looked relaxed and trim as he joined some male friends for a meal out in the posh suburb of Richmond, south-west London.
He was seen puffing on a cigarette outside the Chinese restaurant, where he braved the drizzle outside and chatted to his pals.
Schofe got animated as he told stories to his friends, who were seen laughing at his descriptions.
Still wearing his wedding ring despite the romantic side of his marriage to Stephanie Lowe coming to an end when he bravely outed himself as gay, Phil seemed happy and content in the company of his mates in pictures seen by the Sun.
It comes just days after the release of his new book Life's What You Make Of It, which described the emotional turmoil he went through while wrestling with his sexuality.
In it, Phil reveals how things got so bad he sat at home alone on New Year's Eve "sobbing in the dark", and once missed an episode of This Morning because he couldn't face going to work.
Another time he ran off set to vomit during a fashion segment, meaning co-star Holly Willoughby had to make excuses for his absence.
But he couldn't have thanked her or his family more for being there when he took the brave decision to go public on This Morning with his sexuality.
The book also details his many fall-outs with other celebrities - including his old This Morning partner Fern Britton, who he said accused him of "meddling" with the content of their programme in a row that quickly escalated.
"I walked back into the makeup room and calmly said, 'Please don't do that to me again'," he wrote.
"I think, for whatever reason, that was the point Fern decided she didn't want to do This Morning any more."
He said his ex co-star didn't text him when he came out in February, although she did message his wife to lend her support.
Phillip also went into detail about his feud with Noel Edmonds, who for years he had seen as his "TV inspiration".
He added: "Sadly, many years later, he and I would strongly disagree over an interview on This Morning when he suggested that 'negative energy' could cause cancer. I still take a different point of view to Noel, but I think it's a terrible shame we fell out over it."
Initially Noel, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013, had gone on This Morning to defend his controversial Twitter posts about the causes of cancer.
The Deal Or No Deal star accused ITV of "stitching" him up when Phil hit out at the star for being "insensitive".
Noel said: "Phil, if you are unlucky enough to be seriously ill, I promise I won’t be so callous and I will show you respect, sympathy and compassion."
