Peter Andre admits he’s strict as he compares parenting styles with Katie Price

Peter Andre reckons he's much stricter on his kids than his ex-wife Katie Price is.

The former couple share kids Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, and have been co-parenting them ever since their split in 2009.

Peter, who is also dad to Amelia, six, and Theo, four, who he shares with wife Emily, spilled on the parenting rules he lives by when it comes to raising his kids right.

One of the biggest issues these days is keeping kids safe online, and Peter says while he'll allow his children to have social media accounts like Instagram from the age of 13, he doesn't want them to go public until they're 14.

He told Daily Star Online : "Junior has stuck to it. Princess not so much but what I did with Princess was compromise so I told her to turn her comments off."

The doting dad said that one of his biggest concerns is online bullying, and that he wants to do all he can to protect his children.

But he says that co-parenting is all about compromise.

He added: "Ideally my kids would listen to everything I say. But as parents we have to come to compromises because this is the way of the future. It's online."

He went on: "I've always kind of been the stricter parent. The only reason that is, is because my dad and mum were very strict. But they were so strict to the point that I couldn't do anything. I've taken the best bits that I realised when I was older."

Peter also shared his trick in helping his kids avoid posting something online that they'll later regret.

The singer says he simply reminds them that he'll see anything that they post, meaning they'll think twice before sharing anything they shouldn't.

It comes after reports that Peter was furious about the recent pictures of Princess wearing a full face of make up.

Princess looked the double of her mum as they posed up together in full glam.

The teenager made it clear she wasn't interested in negativity as she captioned her pictures: "JUST FOR FUN! First time I’ve had hair and makeup professionally done! I Love It!"

But an insider claimed Peter wasn't happy.

A source told New magazine : "Pete doesn't want Princess to follow in her mum's footsteps at all.

"Posting those photos is glamorising her in the public eye. She's only 13 and Peter hates the idea of her growing up too quickly.

"Princess received lots of troll comments online after the pictures were posted - Pete is very unhappy that Katie has put her in that situation."
