Pat Carroll, who is best known as the voice of Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid, has died at the age of 95.

The actress had suffered with pneumonia before she passed away at her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. on Saturday.

She once admitted her role as Ursula in 1989, and singing songs such as Poor Unfortunate Souls, was one of her favourite roles.

It wasn't, however, her only Disney role as she'd also appeared in the 1965 musical version of Cinderella in which she played the wicked stepsister.

As well as her Disney roles, she also featured on popular series such as ER, Laverne & Shirley, and The Danny Thomas Show.

She was also a regular on US sitcom Make Room for Daddy between 1961 and 1964.
