Archie Lyndhurst died aged 19.
Only Fools And Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst's teenage son was found at his family's home in west London last week.
The circumstances of his death are said to be "non-suspicious".
Archie's mum Lucy shared an emotional tribute to her son with the words: "He will love you and watch over you forever."
Her message was left beneath Game of Thrones star Samuel Small's tribute to Archie.
Archie followed in his dad's star-studded footsteps into the acting world after his dad famously played Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses.
Already the star had made a name for himself following his breakout role in CBeebies series So Awkward.
He went onto secure minor parts in Bad Education as a younger version of Jack Whitehall's character and the guest lead in Casualty.
Also, he gave his voice to 2015 video game Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward.
Previously, Archie admitted his dad advised him not to be an actor before later sending him to acting school.
The late star said he knew he wanted to get into acting from the age of eight.
He previously told Tresa Magazine: "I knew I wanted to be an actor when I was eight. At the time, I didn’t know my dad was an actor, and he kept trying to say to me that I shouldn’t start acting.
"I then found out that he was an actor and said that if he can do it, I can do it as well! That didn’t change anything though as he still wouldn’t let me do it.
"He eventually asked me why I wanted to be an actor, and I said it’s because I wanted to make people laugh. He then sent me to drama school, I got my first agent, I started getting work, and now I’m here. I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve been given."
The actor was dating his So Awkward co-star Nethra Tilakumara for a year.
During their time together, the young lovers jetted off to Amsterdam and Paris for a series of romantic breaks.
Nethra has yet to break her silence on her boyfriend's death.
Family and friends have been mourning Archie's death.
Emergency services were alerted to his home where Archie was declared dead at the scene on September 22.
An inquest into Archie's death will be held next week.
Tributes have begun circulating on social media to the teenage son of Only Fools And Horses star.
His best friend Samuel led the tributes with a devastating post saying goodbye.
He wrote: "To my brother Archie. I still can’t quite comprehend that you have passed. You still had so much life to live and I’d give anything for you to keep on living it.
"My heart aches all day and everyday thinking about you and I just wish I could talk to you just one more time so you could know how much I loved you. I vow to make you proud with every last breath. Love you from now until infinity. Rest in power bro.
"I wish you could’ve all known Archie how we knew him. I’ve never met someone so full of life and had touched so many peoples hearts. Archie was there for me in my lowest lows but my highest highs were with him."
In the loving tribute, Samuel revealed his late friend had a "beautiful soul" who was always "brightening" up the world around him.
He went on: "Archie’s my best friend and to say goodbye so soon is absolutely devastating, but his calling was obviously somewhere else and I hope he is brightening up wherever he is. To be honest, I still can’t find the words that do him justice and show how much of a beautiful soul he was, but his mission was to make as many people happy as he could and trust me, he really really did.
"Archie loved his friends and family so so dearly and we hope he knows how much he truly was loved. We never know what tomorrow will bring so hug the ones you love extra tight as Archie always did."
CBBC also shared some loving words about Archie, having given him his breakout role in So Awkward.
The broadcaster wrote: "We're so sorry to have to tell you that Archie Lyndhurst, who so brilliantly played Ollie in So Awkward on CBBC, has very sadly died after a short illness.
"Archie will be hugely missed by all who worked with him, and by all the fans who laughed along with Ollie in the show."
His close female friend Sophia Dall'Aglio poured her heartache into a goodbye note which she shared on Instagram with the world.
Sophia wrote fondly of their seven years together as friends and she praised him for having the "biggest heart" she had ever known.
She wrote: "Dear Archie, It feels impossible for me to be writing this, I’m still waiting for you to call me and tell me it’s a horrible joke. How unfair that you should go and leave us here without you.
"You were one of the funniest, most aspirational people I’ve ever met, but also the cringiest and most irritating, and that’s precisely why I love you. I pray that I will always remember the sound of your voice, your laugh, your smile. I’m so thankful that I have nothing but happy memories of us to look back on.
"You were the light in the room, even on a bad day, and brought all of us together. It’s true, things won’t be the same without you, but while you were here you did nothing but your best to make people happy.
"The biggest heart I’ve ever known, thank you so much for changing my life in the 7 years we had together. I’m so grateful."
In her open letter, Sophia admitted her biggest regret was not telling Archie she loved him every single day.
She went on: "My biggest regret is not telling you I loved you every single day and I hope you left us knowing it anyway.
"Never ever ever forgotten, and always and forever in our hearts. Sophia."
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said of Archie's death: "Police were called at approximately 9.41am on Tuesday, September 22 to a report of a concern for welfare.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a man was found unresponsive. He was declared dead at the scene.
"His next of kin are aware. At this stage the death is treated as unexplained but not suspicious. A post-mortem will take place in due course."
