One Direction’s Liam Payne admits that he found lockdown “really difficult”, as he was separated from his three-year-old son Bear.

Liam and ex-girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy agreed to isolate to ensure the family stayed Covid-free, so Liam spent three months apart from his son.

“It was the longest time I’ve not seen him – ever,” says Liam. “We were trying to be extra safe. Me and his mum decided that was what was best.

“Slowly, as time went on it just got to the point where I couldn’t really not see him any more.”

Since reuniting over at Cheryl’s house, Liam has been teaching Bear to cook, and says the toddler is very into seasoning.

“He actually ate the whole thing because he knew that he’d cooked it,” an impressed Liam tells Radio 1.

“He’s gonna be very much like me.

"We’ve had some really lovely times over at the house.”

Recent reports suggested that Liam and his ex girlfriend Cheryl have even discussed the option of moving to Los Angeles so they could both co-parent Bear.

At the start of July, Cheryl was said to be considering a move stateside but she doesn't appear to have made any decisions just yet.

Liam, who also does a lot of recording in the U.S, reportedly was keen to get back to the states and was said to be "missing the LA weather and laid-back lifestyle."

A source appeared to confirm the news, according to Closer.

The insider said: "Cheryl and Liam have been discussing LA and he says he’d love Bear to experience the Californian way of life.

"Liam still does lots of recording over there, so it’s also about what’s best for Bear in terms of seeing both parents at the same time.

"Cheryl is keen that he should not have to spend long periods without seeing his dad so she’s considering it for the sake of their family."
