Naya Rivera's final TV appearance will be aired after Netflix confirmed that an episode of Sugar Rush she starred in will be released on the streaming service on Friday.
Before coronavirus brought a halt to production on the show, Glee star Naya Rivera filmed a guest judge slot on Season Three of the baking show.
She appeared alongside professional chef judges Candace Nelson and Adriano Zumbo as well as show host Hunter March, in the episode which was filmed in Los Angeles in February.
It is believed that this is the last thing that Naya filmed before Hollywood was shutdown, a period that has now lasted five months.
Netflix had announced on June 24 that the new season of Sugar Rush, titled Extra Sweet, would be launching on July 31.
The streaming service was thrown into a dilemma after Naya was tragically killed at Lake Piru, after she disappeared while swimming with her son.
The 33-year-old's body was recovered from the water on July 13, after days of intense searching by hundreds of people.
Netflix were initially unsure what to do with the episode but after consultation with Naya's manager, Gladys Gonzalez, who in turn has been working with Naya's family, it was decided that the episode could air as planned and Netflix will dedicate it to Naya's life.
There will be an on-screen message that will honour the actress before the opening credits roll.
Naya was laid to rest in a private ceremony in Los Angeles with law enforcement officials saying after her body was recovered that she had died saving her son from the water.
According to Naya's death certificate, which was obtained by People, the star was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in LA on July 24.
The certificate confirmed that the actress' cause of death was drowning, and states that she died in a matter of minutes, with "no other significant conditions" contributing to her death.
Naya's identity was confirmed to the Ventura Medical Examiner's Office via dental records.
In a moving statement, Naya's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, who is father to her son Josey, said they had been swimming together just a day before she went missing on July 8.
Sharing a photo of Naya with Josey, Ryan wrote: "This is so unfair...there's not enough words to express the hole left in everyone's hearts.
"I can't believe this is life now. I don't know if I'll ever believe it. You were just here.
"We were just in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn't fair. I don't know what to say."
