Nathan Massey nearly missed his daughter's birth because he fell asleep.
Mirror Online revealed how his wife Cara Delahoyde-Massey had to be rushed into early labour following a diagnosis of pre-eclampsia.
The Love Island pair welcomed a "healthy and beautiful" baby girl, telling fans yesterday that they'd decided on "Delilah" as a name.
This means son Freddie, born 2017, has a baby sister.
But Nathan nearly missed the big moment - admitting he'd "nodded off."
Chatting to new! magazine, Cara recalled going into labour after midwives after they tried a number of techniques to induce labour.
"On the Monday night I went into labour," Cara told, "and was getting really strong contractions.
"At 3am, the midwives came to take me to the delivery suite, so I rang Nathan [who was at home] to come down, but he'd fallen asleep.
"He got there just in time!"
"I nodded off," admitted Nathan.
Cara added that not having Nathan there during her contractions wasn't a problem because "you just get on with it."
She went on to heap praise on the "amazing" midwives and nurses.
And Nathan's a proud dad after seeing how good little Freddie is with his baby sister.
"Words can't describe how proud I am of this boy," he gushed, "turning into such a great big bro already, completely smitten of his sister caring and helping his mummy out!!!
"Freddie you my best mate and you always will be."
Meanwhile, Cara told of an emotional shopping trip to Asda not long after giving birth.
She said: "Nathan said he would do the shopping, but I said, 'no, I want to get out for an hour and just look at the baby grows. I just wanted to get out and be a bit normal.
"But then [Delilah] started crying and didn't really know what to do.
"Normally they've got a cafe, so you could go and sit in the cafe and feed, but obviously at the moment it's a weird time.
