Nadia Sawalha has credited couples counselling for saving her marriage to her husband Mark Adderley.
The Loose Women panelist, 55, and Mark said the secret to their marriage is listening to each other and "keeping the dialogue open", which they have learned to do by speaking to a therapist.
They married in 2002 and they share two teenage daughters, Maddy, 17, and 13-year-old Kiki.
Nadia was previously married to Justin Mildwater from 1992 until he tragically took his own life in 1997.
Speaking to new! magazine in a joint interview, Mark said: "People stop listening. Keep the dialogue open and listen to each other.
Nadia agreed, saying: "People become so distant and there's so much you avoid talking about."
Mark continued: "Marriage is an ongoing journey that requires work."
The couple are very open about their marriage but say they talk to their daughters about everything before they share it publcily.
He said: "We share a lot, but we don't share anything we wouldn't want to share or haven't already shared with the girls."
Nadia added: "We do talk about mental health.
"We had this thing in lockdown where every day we'd say, 'On a scale of one to ten, how are you feeling?'
"We were already ahead of the curve in that we already spoke about our feelings.
"Lockdown was very difficult for people who don't have that ongoing dialogue.
