Myleene Klass showed fans her uber expensive engagement ring from fiancé Simon Motson after he proposed to her with a promise ring.

The 42-year-old radio host played a part in designing her stunning emerald cut ring, and said she chose the super-rare diamond because "black goes with everything".

The former Hear'Say singer revealed last month that her long-term love had recently popped the all-important question.

And after being together for five years, Myleene was buzzing as she said "yes".

Initially, Simon gifted her a gold promise ring with a shiny diamond in the centre.

The ring was a place holder until she finished designing her ultimate dream rock - and it seems as though she's managed to achieve her goal.

Taking to Instagram, Myleene showed off the stunning sparkler as she treated fans to some behind the scenes snaps and clips of the process.

Sharing a series of videos, Myleene showed the concept she and jewellery designer Ira Kormind came up with.

Alongside the videos, she wrote: "I made a video on design through to make of our engagement ring," she wrote on the Instagram post. Everything it stands for is magical to me."

She added: "Happy birthday to the woman who made it, @irakormind @77diamonds, friend and uber talent, thank you x #blackdiamond."

Naturally, the stunning rock sparked many questions among fans, who flocked to the comments section instantly.

Answering everyone's questions on her Instagram Story, Myleene opened up about why she chose a black diamond.

She explained: "After Sim proposed I got it into my head that I wanted a coloured diamond for my ring. I had no idea where to source a rare, black diamond."

Myleene revealed she and Simon "absolutely LOVED the design process of drawing and shaping our own unique ring".

"I spend most of my day just staring at this around my finger," she admitted.

She added: "I love everything it stands for, what it means for us to have made it together, what it took to get here in the first place and ultimately, because it's unique, super rare and was made with friendship and love."

The pair have enjoyed a blissful romance for over five years after meeting in 2015.
