Music DJ Erick Morillo arrested and charged with sexual battery
The Colombian-American music star turned himself in to face charges over an alleged incident that is said to have taken place in Miami, Florida, in December 2019
Music DJ Erick Morillo has been arrested and charged with sexual battery after handing himself in.
The 49-year-old music, festival and club DJ has been accused of attacking a woman at his home in Miami, Florida, last December.
The Colombian-American DJ and music producer had been working with his alleged accuser at a private party on Star Island in December 2019, before returning to his home alongside another woman.
Florida based Local 10 News report that the victim gave a statement to police detailing what she says she remembers from the night of the alleged incident.
According to the arrest report, the victim told detectives that DJ Morillo: “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.”
The report also claims the woman recalled being intoxicated and sought out a room to sleep in alone in the DJ’s home.
However the arrest report also states the alleged victim claim she recalled: “waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude.”
DJ Morillo has denied the accusations held against him.
Mirror Online have contracted a representative of the DJ for comment.
As well as DJ-ing, Erick Morillo has produced music under a number of aliases including Ministers de la Funk, The Dronez, RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate and Li'l Mo Ying Yang.
As Reel 2 Reel he produced the club his I Like to Move It.
