This weekend, Colby Covington beat his opponent, Tryon Woodley, during the fifth round of their UFC match in Las Vegas. Colby is known for not only being a great fighter but also for being a supporter of the United States president, Donald Trump.
Amid his post-fight interview, Donald Trump reportedly called him on the phone and they had a conversation amid his talk with reporters. Trump apparently said to him on the phone that he was a “great fighter,” and congratulated him on his victory.

Trump responded with: “I’m your fan, you’re my fan. Two of a kind.” As most know, Donald Trump is going up against Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in November.
Colby referenced the upcoming election during the conversation when he told him that he was going to bring the “new belt to the Oval Office” after he is victorious in a “landslide.” Covington went on to criticize what he described as “woke athletes,” including people like LeBron James.
As it was previously reported, LeBron James has been a vocal supporter of Black Lives Matter and other movements over the last few months. The basketball player was also put on blast when he criticized the general manager of the Nuggets for supporting Hong Kong protestors.
LeBron James reportedly said during a press conference that Mr. Morey was “uneducated” and “misinformed” on the situation between the Hong Kong protestors and the Chinese government.
LeBron James was also on social media this week to call attention to the light sentences handed out to Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli in their college admissions scandal. The basketball player said he was “laughing” because sometimes a person just has to laugh to avoid crying.
Meek Mill also commented on the case, insinuating that had Lori Loughlin been a woman of color, the sentence given to her would’ve been far more severe. Lori and Mossimo were given two and five-month sentences respectively, and they were also given the opportunity to choose what institution they went to.
