Blake Jenner is finally coming clean about the allegations that his ex-wife, Melissa Benoist, brought up against him last year.
In November 2019, the Supergirl actress accused Jenner of physically abusing her while they were together.
In a poignant video, Benoist told her truth in a very dignifying way. Benoist said at the time: “The impact tore my iris, nearly ruptured my eyeball, lacerated my skin, and broke my nose. My left eye swelled shut. I had a fat lip … Something inside of me broke, this was too far.”

The Glee actor wrote: “Over the past eleven months, I have been thinking about how to address a personal situation made public in late-2019. Throughout that time, I reflected on a period in my life that I had previously kept in the darkness out of shame and fear, but I know this is something that needs to be addressed, not just publicly, but also privately with the individual directly affected and with myself.”
He continued: “As great as the love that was shared between us, the shared brokenness that stemmed from our childhoods proved to be greater. In a way, I think for the both of us, our marriage was a potential for redemption of sorts. It was a relationship with a foundation rooted in co-dependency, which had dire consequences.”

One commenter shared: “All he did was admit he hit her with the phone and he made that seem like it was an accident.. Then the only thing he did was blame her and named all the things she did to him in the relationship. So pretty much he is blaming her for most of it. He only took the blame for the phone; that’s it. Taking the easy way out and putting most of the blame on the victim like most abusers do.”
This fan of Glee added: “This guy’s character in the show had a temper problem. I’m glad she was able to get away.”
Benoist has not reacted to the post.
