Meghan Markle and Harry’s new celeb neighbours as they secretly buy new home

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have packed their bags and moved out of LA - their fourth major house move of the year.

The couple moved out of the 18-bedroom home LA mansion they've called home since the start of lockdown, lent to them by movie producer Tyler Perry, in July after buying their first home.

According to sources, they plan to make their new house - which sits in a small community in Santa Barbara - their permanent base and where they will raise their son Archie.

And they're in good company, as the area is hugely popular with A-list celebrities including several of the couple's close friends.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow also has a home in the area, and she's clearly a huge fan of the neighbourhood.

On her lifestyle blog Goop, she writes: "Santa Barbara —less than 100 miles from L.A. up the PCH — is one of the best things about Southern California.

"And with new farm-to-table restaurants, some fantastic beachside resorts, and up-and-coming neighborhoods like the Funk Zone, the town is more exciting than ever."

Oprah lives in a huge $90million home in nearby Montecito, with huge lawns and a stunning sea view.

Meanwhile Ellen DeGeneres, who visited Meghan and Harry at their Windsor home shortly after Archie was born, has several homes in the area.

In January, Ellen and her actress wife Portia de Rossi bought a Tudor-style house in Surrey, which they dismantled and had rebuild in Santa Barbara.

The stunning property is said to have cost £2.7million,featuring three bedrooms, an orangery and two barns, reports Home and Property.

Before their split, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a huge property portfolio including a gorgeous home in Goleta, which is in southern Santa Barbara.

Brad bought the home in 2000 for $4million and it's where the couple and their children went on holiday.

Drew Barrymore used to call a gorgeous estate in the area home, and even married her now ex-husband Will Kopelman in the garden.

She bought the six-bedroom house in 2010 for $5.7million and sold it three years later for $6.3.

She now has a number of different homes, including gorgeous properties in New York and the Hamptons.

Meghan and Harry decided to leave Perry's property in search of more privacy, but sources say the huge mansion "wasn't their style" and that Harry prefers smaller properties.

An insider told PageSix : "While it was a nice favor to them at a very difficult time, Tyler Perry's house with 18 bedrooms isn't Harry's style.

"Yes, he grew up in royalty and the halls of Buckingham Palace, but he prefers more intimate homes with character."
