Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were the talk of the American Music Awards ahead of the ceremony, after a stunning debut on the red carpet together.

The lovebirds certainly stood out in individual outfits that accentuated their unique styles, as 34-year-old Megan was introduce MGK, 30, ahead of his performance at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with Blink-182's Travis Barker.

The AMAs were taking place with a limited live audience but there were plenty of big names lined up to perform, from Katy Perry to Jennifer Lopez.

They would have to go a long way to take the spotlight from Megan and MGK, with the Transformers actress looking sensational in a green asymmetrical one-sleeve top and skirt by Azzi & Osta.

MGK wore an open white top with matching trousers and silver shoes.

The pair have looked increasingly more loved up in recent months after they started dating over the summer.

They first met on the set of upcoming movie Midnight in the Switchgrass, with photos of the pair looking cosy circulating from May.

This led to Megan's estranged husband, Brian Austin Green, to confirm that they had separated after 10 years of marriage.

They share share sons Noah Shannon, 8, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and 4-year-old Journey River.

Megan took a big step in her relationship with MGK in October, as she introduced him to her children.

A source said to People about the meeting: "He recently met her kids for the first time. Megan thought it was a natural step, since they are getting more serious.

"They are in a committed relationship and it's not just a fling. They are planning a future together.

This came a month after MGK confessed on The Howard Stern Show that he fell in love "for the first time" when he met Megan.

He said: "That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that. I definitely wasn't set up to believe that that's something that could ever exist."
