Masters Betting Odds: Money flowing in on Bryson DeChambeau

Bettors are putting their money on Bryson DeChambeau overpowering Augusta this week similar to how he manhandled Winged Foot in winning the U.S. Open by six shots in September.

DeChambeau has been the most popular winning bet this week at BetRivers, DraftKings and PointsBet despite being the +700 favorite by BetRivers, +750 by DraftKings and +800 by PointsBet. He has been backed by the largest percentage of outright winning handle (12.83 percent) and outright winning bets (8.26 percent) at BetRivers, and 11.10 percent and 10.30 percent of the same markets at PointsBet. The action on DeChambeau has been even bigger at DraftKings, where he leads the field with 20 percent of the winning handle and 10 percent of the winning bets.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson was second to DeChambeau in both markets at BetRivers (+800) and DraftKings (+850). However, Johnson’s odds had lengthened to +1100 by Wednesday night at PointsBet, where Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy have been bet down to +1000.

While Johnson was second with 7.10 percent of the outright winner bets, a higher percentage of the winning handle bets had been placed on Rahm (7.4 percent), Brooks Koepka (6.4 percent) and defending champion Tiger Woods (6.1 percent)

Woods remains a +4500 longshot at DraftKings, but he has been backed by nine percent of the winning handle and eight percent of the total winning bets. That is behind only DeChambeau, Johnson, Justin Thomas and Rahm.

Woods is also being offered at -278 to make the cut and +200 to miss the weekend at BetRivers, the most popular non-winner bet of the entire event at the sportsbook. As of Wednesday night, 58 percent of the bets were backing Woods to miss the cut at the Masters, which he has not done since he was an amateur in 1996.

Koepka has also been a popular bet at BetRivers, where the four-time major winner is +1600. The former No. 1 player in the world has been working his way back from hip and knee injuries, leading to longer odds than most other top players. That led to one bettor making a $13,000 wager that would pay $221,000 if Koepka claims his first green jacket this week.

Only four other players are backed by a larger percentage of outright winning handle at BetRivers than Koepka, who tied for second last year along with Johnson. One bettor at PointsBet placed a $1,000 wager on +40000 longshot J.T. Poston. Should he win, the pay out would be $400,000. The second largest potential outright winner payout at the book is $132,000 on a $2,000 bet placed on Rickie Fowler at +6600.

A $3,000 wager placed on PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa (+3500) has a potential payout of $105,000.
