MasterChef's Greg Wallace admits he feels 'horrified' by his pre-weight loss body

The TV chef, 55, has gone on to lose four stone after changing his eating habits and taking up exercise

Greg Wallace has admitted he feels 'horrified' when he sees footage of himself on MasterChef before his four stone weight loss.

The 55-year-old TV star, said old episodes leave him embarrassed but the feeling is also 'bittersweet' as it gives him a reminder of how far he's come.

Greg has successfully managed to transform his figure in the last two years after taking up exercise and changing his eating habits.

Discussing his thoughts on the 'old him' with the Mail Online, Greg said: "I was horrified, absolutely horrified. And then I was struck with an immense sense of pride and wellbeing."

He went on:"I did it, it’s great. "

After charting his progress on social media, Greg said he is now happy with how he looks.

"I don’t need to lose any more weight now, I just need to maintain. But I know what it is, it’s about teaching yourself over time, healthy habits that become part of your every day life," he explained.

Greg's inspiration for getting into shape is his wife Anna, 33, and their 14-month-old son Sid.

The TV star, who has been married four times, also has a grown-up son and daughter Libby and Tom who are in their twenties.

According to reports, Gregg weighed 16-and-a-half-stone at his heaviest before deciding to change his ways.

His journey began in 2017 when the TV star ditched the booze and takeaways.

"When I was at my biggest I was having a daily fry-up, fish and chips once per week, takeaway a couple more times and drinking beer nearly every day.

"I'm a huge fan of curries, chillies and stews and it is still possible to lose weight and eat hearty meals," he previously told The Sun.

When his son Sid was born in April, Gregg was given some much needed motivation.

After maintaining his strict exercise of swimming, bodyweight workouts and heavy weight training, dad of three Greg said he had slimmed down to 12 stone and 13 pounds in September 2019.

He also claimed his body fat percentage was only 18 percent.
