GMB: Gregg Wallace talks about his weight loss in January
MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace has shared the secret of his four and a half stone weight loss.
The 57-year-old has appeared noticeably slimmer during the last few series of the BBC cooking show and has documented his transformation on social media.
The father-of-three regularly shares workout photos - which show off his six-pack - all while apparently avoiding a strict diet.
At his heaviest, Gregg revealed how he weighed around 16 and a half stone, stating how he was “overweight and wasn’t happy”.
However, through a healthy and balanced diet, coupled with a regular exercise routine, the cheeky chappy dramatically changed his physique.
Gregg admitted the main reason he wanted to lose weight was so he could “look better on the telly”.
Initially, the former greengrocer tried to stick to several restrictive diets, such as fasting, no carbs and low fat.

Although these did result in short-term weight-loss, the Londoner told the Express he was “really uncomfortable” and “horribly hungry and miserable all the time”.
As a result, Gregg looked for a more long-term solution that would also keep him feeling chipper.
After continuing to exercise and eat healthily during the Covid lockdown, the star maintained his weight loss and weighed in at just under 12 stone.
Revealing his achievement on Instagram, Gregg said: “Just under 12 stone. Being at home 24/7 makes good choices easier.”
He looks incredible!
Those choices included removing snacks, alcohol and takeaways and instead opting for three large, balanced meals a day.
Speaking to the Sun, Gregg insisted the change “honestly wasn’t a struggle”, and is apparently aiming for the body of a 20-year-old.
To achieve this, he undergoes exercise sessions with a personal trainer, which include bench presses, chin-ups, kettlebells and press-ups.

Among his ‘simple secrets’, Gregg also suggests eating a big breakfast, to ensure he stays full throughout the morning.
He also tracks his fitness through an app.
The host is now hoping to encourage others to get fit and recently launched his own wellness platform and fitness plan - the ShowMe.Fit website.

Gregg also recommends recipes for healthy meals along with the motivational messages.
On the website he says the main hurdle when trying to lose weight is not having the correct guidance, adding: “This is not a diet. It is a lifestyle change, a gradual, comfortable process into a long lasting healthier, slimmer you.”
