Seattle will be the home team in San Diego for all three games — Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon.
The Padres, who had an off-day Thursday, remained in San Diego and didn’t depart for Seattle prior to the decision.
The Mariners are playing in San Francisco on Thursday before traveling to San Diego. The two-game series with the Giants was initially scheduled to be played in Seattle but was moved due to the poor air quality.
