Marbella hotel in deadly blaze is TOWIE haunt loved by Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan

The Sisu Boutique Hotel in Marbella was a hotspot for TOWIE stars and celebrities including Mark Wright and wife Michelle Keegan - guests were seen climbing out of windows as it burned down

One person has died as a Marbella hotel popular with TOWIE stars burned down.

Dramatic images show The Sisu Boutique Hotel in Spain up in flames, with 10 others injured in the blaze.

Hotel guests were seen climbing out of windows to escape the flames as emergency services evacuated people and tackled the fire in the early hours of this morning.

The hotel is a favourite destination for celebrities, including former TOWIE star Mark Wright and his wife, ex-Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan.

One witness described the scene as "dantesque".

He said: "People were telling firefighters they were going to jump. The fire crews used water from their hoses to cool the facade of the building down and get guests to hold on longer so they could bring them down with ladders."

The owner of the hotel was not immediately available for comment today.

Marbella's security councillor Jose Eduardo Diaz confirmed the hotel had only been open for three weeks and around 100 guests were staying at the holiday getaway, which is hugely popular with Brits.

Pictures show the building engulfed in flames, with firefighters raised high into the air on ladders to tackle it from above.

The hotel is situated near the upmarket Puerto Banus resort.

British celebs are regularly pictured hanging out at the hotel.

TOWIE stars like Tommy Mallett and Amy Childs have been pictured sipping drinks while sitting by the side of the pool.

The hotel has also welcomed a number of top footballers through its doors over the years.

It's said that most of the people injured in the fire suffered from smoke inhalation.

A local newspaper has reported that the person who died lost their life while trying to escape the blaze by climbing down the side of the hotel.

However, another source has said that the person was found dead in their room during a search by firefighters.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation.

All staff and guests were evacuated from the building.
