Maisie Smith called the latest lockdown announcement "naff".
Prime Minister Boris Johnson's lockdown news clashed with Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
The EastEnders actress took to her Instagram Story on Sunday evening to thank her legion of fans for their support as she got through to the third week of the long-running dance competition.
During her chat, Maisie slammed the PM's decision to send England into a second lockdown.
She said on her Story: "I just wanted to say thank you for all the really nice messages and the response and the comments and the feedback.
"It's been crazy. Not even just for me, for the whole show. Obviously last night wasn't the best night for everybody, it was a bit naff.
"I'm hoping the show brought a couple of smiles to some faces which is why we're doing it."
Maisie and Gorka Marquez got through to the third week of Strictly after they impressed judges with their tango to Miley Cyrus' Midnight Sky.
They peaked at the top of the leaderboard.
England will see indoor household mixing banned and pubs, restaurants and leisure businesses close.
Lockdown will be imposed from Thursday until December 2.
Many fans took to Twitter as they were furious that the PM's announcement would "ruin" their Saturday night.
