Paige Turley said she's not shying away from the idea of writing her own song about her ill-fated romance with singer Lewis Capaldi.

The Love Island winner, 22, is looking to pursue her music career that was put on hold as she took part in this year's hit ITV2 dating series.

Paige's claim to fame on the show was her previous relationship with fellow Scot Lewis.

After the pair's relationship tumbled, Lewis became a massive worldwide star with his hit Someone You Loved, which Paige insists was written about her.

However it later emerged that Lewis found inspiration for writing the tune Bruises after his ex girlfriend Paige.

He previously said: "Everyone thinks Someone You Loved is about Paige, it's actually Bruises, and a bunch of other songs on the album that are about [her]."

And it seems as though she's now looking to counter his song with one of her own.

Speaking on FUBAR Radio, Paige teased the prospect of writing down some verses and a chorus about her ill-fated romance with Lewis.

Admitting the fact that songs about exes tend to do well in the music world, Paige said this may in fact be something she could take on.

"Do you know what? Maybe I should take a leaf out of their books. I mean look at Adele and then look at Lewis. They’re doing pretty well from it!” Paige joked.

Paige, who recently released her debut single, added: "They’ve got the right idea. Maybe that’s what I need to do!”

While she showed off her vocal skills during her Love Island stint around the famous campfire, the blonde beauty's talents go back a long way.

Back in 2012, she wowed audiences across the nation when she sang her heart out on Britain's Got Talent.

Now, eight years later, Paige is ready to do it all over again as she's set to kickstart her music career once again.
