Love Island's Marcel Somerville to become dad as he announces girlfriend is pregnant
The Love Island star is expecting his first child with girlfriend Rebecca Vieira one year after they went through a devastating miscarriage
Love Island's Marcel Somerville is going to be a dad.
The reality star, 34, has announced that his girlfriend Rebecca Vieira is pregnant, one year on from their devastating miscarriage.
Revealing the moment he found out, he told OK! : "I was in the studio with my headphones on and she tapped me on the shoulder.
"She had loads of pregnancy tests in her hand, just to make doubly sure. It was crazy! It’s my first baby and I’ve been waiting a long time for this, so it’s just mad."
Marcel and Rebecca have been together for 14 months.
Their first pregnancy came early in the relationship but they tragically suffered a miscarriage.
But the tragedy made them stronger as a couple.
The former Blazin' Squad star appeared on Love Island back in 2017, when he coupled up with now-ex Gabby Allen.
The pregnancy news is extra happy for the star as he revealed last month that he "nearly died" after passing out and being rushed to hospital.
Marcel filmed a video from his hospital bed as he recovered from his mystery illness.

"This is just a message to everyone that has been sending all their prayers and blessings. They don't go missed, I really appreciate them, I really need them right now," he told his followers.
"It's been a very, very hard few days for me. Saturday was literally the worst day of my life and I nearly died but, yeah, just keep sending them my way because I really need them.
"Thank you so much. Big love from Marce."
Marcel was rushed to hospital after vomiting so hard he passed out, and friends fears he may have had coronavirus.
He was diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis [DKA], which is a complication of Type 1 diabetes.
His blood sugar levels had risen to a dangerously high level and acidic ketones had built up in his body.
He was in intensive care for over a week.
