Louise Redknapp confirmed she is "very, very single" after making her comeback on Friday night - but did deliver some big news.

After having to cancel her Heavy Love tour after the Covid outbreak, she was back on stage at the Clapham Grand.

The 45-year-old singer was quizzed on her relationship status as she left the show.

Louise and husband Jamie Redknapp split in 2017 after 19 years of marriage and has yet to find love again.

When asked by MailOnline if she was dating, she swiftly responded she is "very, very single" before jumping in a car.

Sky Sports' Jamie has reportedly moved on with Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie.

Louise says she won't rule out finding love again and has the backing of her two boys.

But in big news for Eternal fans, the singer says the group's former members have discussed getting together.

When asked about a reunion for the R&B girl group, she said: "It is definitely something I would be up for doing.

"We have talked about it. Who knows - we'll see what next year brings."

Louise says that while children Charley, 16, and Beau, 11, want their parents to get back together, they have given her their blessing for her to date.

Speaking to GoodtoKnow magazine before Charley turned 16 recently, she said: "My eldest is 15 and super-protective over me.

"But he knows he can talk about anything and doesn't need to be embarrassed, I'm so open.

"One morning he said to me, 'If you ever did want to go on a date, I'd be OK with it.' It was actually a big moment as he'd always been quite vocal that I'd never go on a date.

"They always hope their mum and dad will work things out."
