Lorraine Kelly shares snap of rarely seen husband as they celebrate anniversary

Lorraine Kelly and her husband Steve Smith have been married since 1992, and the pair celebrated their long-lasting relationship with lunch at the Ivy organised by their daughter

Lorraine Kelly has given fans a rare glimpse of her husband as the couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary together over a posh meal.

The ITV chat show host, who has been married to cameraman Steve Smith since 1992, showed him off on Instagram as the pair feasted on the afternoon tea delights of the Ivy.

Looking happy and loved up as they shared scones filled with jam and fresh cream, Lorraine captined the snap: "A lovely lunch as a present from @rosiekellysmith at #theivymarlowgarden to celebrate our anniversary. Just perfect xxxx."

Fans hardly ever get to see Steve, who makes occasional appearances on his wife's Instagram, alongside pictures of their dog Angus and snaps from her daytime TV set.

Lorraine also posted a throwback of their wedding day, where he wore full traditional Scottish kilt and she was in a V-neck, long-sleeved cream ballgown wedding dress, carrying a huge bunch of flowers as they walked through a saber arch.

"So this happened 28 years ago! Happy anniversary to my husband Steve who makes me laugh and is always in my corner. #anniversary#love#happy," she wrote next to the sweet snap.

The couple's daughter Rosie also posted a throwback one of her parents celebrating, captioning it: "My faves, Happy Anniversary."

Speaking of the success of her long-lasting marriage in 2019, Lorraine revealed the couple's secret.

"I think we make time to talk. We like each other, and he makes me laugh. We give each other space," she told the Daily Express.

"We have our own interests as well as enjoying doing things together. That keeps us interested and interesting. We respect each other."

She added to the Daily Mail: "I say don't take each other for granted and make each other laugh."

Lorraine said of their wedding: "I did not stress at my own wedding. It was such a small wedding. It was wee.

"It was very traditional. It was 1992, so it was big sleeves like Princess Diana.

"You could all get in it and live in my dress. Oh god, that was a dress."

And she told Best magazine after their silver anniversary in 2017 that she didn't know how Steve had coped with her for so long.

"I know that poor man! Steve's put up with me for nearly 25 years. It just works," she joked.

"We do long distance now; I travel to Dundee, or he comes to London. But when he was my cameraman in the late '80s, we saw each other 24/7.

"Both scenarios have worked for us. Now we use FaceTime, and Whatsapp calls."
