Denise Welch has celebrated seven years of weight loss with a stunning bikini pic that showcases her slimmed down body.
The 62-year-old Loose Women panelist has shed more than two stone and she was so pleased with keeping it off for so long, that she shared the gorgeous snap with her 151,000 followers.
The former star of Coronation Street and Waterloo Road has spoken openly about her previous battles with food and alcohol in the past and she was pleased to show how far she has come in recent years.
The actress is oozing body confidence as she posed during her recent holiday in Malta, wearing a bright red two piece.
Denise found that after beating the booze eight years ago, it was food she turned to to feed her addiction but she soon realised that she would have to take drastic action to avoid plunging her body into crisis.
Captioning the post, Denise wrote : "7 yrs ago I joined @lighterlife as I’d put on over 2 stone after giving up alcohol.
"I realised I was on a slippery slope of replacing alcohol addiction with food addiction. I wanted a diet plan that would change my relationship with food not just help me lose the weight."
Denise continued: "@lighterlife was the only one using cognitive behavioural therapy alongside meal replacements (proven to be the best in the U.K. re vitamins, minerals required for daily intake).
"I lost 2st in 8 weeks and have kept it off ever since. I use the flexifasting plan to feel healthier and to avoid gaining too much again."
The benefits of losing weight has helped Denise immensely and she went on to explain how she is now feeling.
She continued: "The osteoarthritis in my knees and back improved by 90% immediately and have never returned to where they were.
"I regularly spend time with the doctors and dietary specialists who advise the company.
"I have seen hundreds of lives changed for the better and type 2 diabetes reversed after people have reached their goal weight quickly and safely."
She continued: "I am thrilled that we are now seeing trials of this type of diet being held in the U.K. as we realise that obesity is one of the growing life threatening conditions in our country.
"I am proud to be the ambassador and we need to acknowledge how important it is to look at why so many people emotionally eat and how food is to many what alcohol was to me.
"Everyone deserves freedom from addiction especially now as anxiety and depression are on the increase #ad"
Denise had a lot of love in the comments, as her followers were quick to praise the scintillating snap.
Among the celebs that added their congratulations were Anna Williamson, who commented: "Hot hot hot"
While Lizzie Cundy added: "Wow"
