Little Mix babe Jesy Nelson became overwhelmed and burst into tears after her nerves got the better of her during a Live Lounge performance
Bosses at BBC Radio One shared their support for Little Mix star Jesy Nelson after she suffered a panic attack during a Live Lounge session.
On Tuesday, 29-year-old Jesy became overwhelmed and burst into tears after her nerves got the better of her during the radio gig.
The singer was left unable to perform, but was helped by her caring bandmates Perri Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall who all stepped in to comfort the stressed star.
Now, BBC Radio One has gushed over brave Jesy by posting an encouraging comment under a video she shared explaining what happened during the live set.
“You absolutely smashed it! We love having you in the Live Lounge”, the supportive comment read.
The lovely comment has since been rakes up more than 1,500 likes.
Radio presenter Clara Amfo also cheered on Jesy when she penned: “What I saw today was TRUE sisterhood, salute to you Jesy for your transparency with your fans and to your girls. You’re ALWAYS welcome.”
The singer confided in her fans about her nerves paralysing her during their gig when she took to Instagram to pen: “Rehearsals.
“So my nerves got the better of me today and I had panic attack right before we were about to sing this for live lounge today and like a pro @perrieedwards jumped in for my part last minute and smashed it.
"This is what we originally did in rehearsals."
Little Mix were performing their newest single Holiday during the show when Jesy became immensely emotional.
Following her public panic attack, the cameras filming their performance live on the radio show were suddenly turned off.
Despite her vulnerable state, brave Jesy returned to finish the rest of the set with her girls.
The singer’s anxiety has at times made her break down in front of audiences due to the years of hardship she has endured.
Jesy has been incredibly open about her struggle with anxiety and depression which escalated when she attempted to take her own life a number of years ago.
The brave star revealed that she began to hate herself after years of online trolling, and she later documented her heartbreaking journey in her award-winning documentary Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out.
