Lisa Snowdon plans to elope with fiancé George after coronavirus cancelled wedding

Lisa celebrated her fifth anniversary with George this year as the couple tell how they're “massively happy” together, despite being forced to postpone their wedding in April due to the global health crisis

Lisa Snowdon has shared her wedding plans with her fiancé George Smart, hinting they may elope after the coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone their big again.

The 48-year-old This Morning presenter has revealed that planning an extravagant wedding isn't top of her priorities list and is even considering a wedding in London instead of Japan, as they were initially thinking.

Lisa celebrated her fifth anniversary with George this year as the couple tell how they're “massively happy” together, despite being forced to postpone their wedding in April due to the global health crisis.

Lisa has revealed that they luckily hadn’t made any firm plans so didn’t lose out on cash like so many other couples did this year.

“We are very happy and it's definitely something we will do one but when George proposed to me it was more about that commitment to each other,” she told MailOnline.

“It was never about "okay, so the year 2020 we're going to do this" – we never really planned it.”

The couple, who got engaged in 2016, are more than happy to have a spontaneous ceremony, rather than getting married overseas.

Lisa told the publication how the tumultuous year has put things into perspective and made them reality their love for each other means more than hosting a big day.

She even hinted that she and George, an entrepreneur from Yorkshire, would consider eloping because they’re “quite romantic like that”.

The telly personality revealed: “I don't know where, I don't know when, I don't know anything about it really.

“It might be a case of, "wow we're in this great city, lets do it tomorrow" – we are quite romantic like that. Maybe that will happen or we will plan something for 30 people, we have put it on the backburner at the moment.
