Nolan sisters Linda and Anne have shared the devastating news that they are both battling cancer at the same time

Linda and Anne Nolan have revealed the heartbreaking news that they are both battling cancer at the same time.

The sisters, who are both part of pop group The Nolans, are fighting the disease that killed their sister Bernie seven years ago when she was just 52-years-old.

Linda has been diagnosed with incurable cancer which has been discovered in her liver.

The pop star has now opened up on how she broke the news to her famous sisters.

The 61-year-old previously won a battle with breast cancer in 2006 and a year later, she survived cellulitis and lymphoedema in her arm before secondary cancer had been located in her pelvis in 2017.

Her older sister Anne, 69, has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, with the most serious being stage four.

Linda and Anne received their devastating diagnoses within days of each other.

They came just a few days after the close sisters finished filming for their hit TV series The Nolans Go Cruising.

Opening up to The Sun about how they broke the news to their beloved sisters Coleen and Maureen, Linda insisted that she delivered the devastating news with a hint of humour.

The former pop star explained: "We laughed and we cried really. It’s hysterical.

“Forget the Chemical Brothers, we’ve become the Chemo Sisters.”

Since receiving the life-changing news, Linda and Anne have endured a gruelling round of chemotherapy together at Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital.

The pair have also lost their signature big hair.

Although the sisters have been dealt with their cancer battles, they have vowed to beat their sicknesses.

While Linda and Anne are determined to focus on all the positives in their lives at the moment, both sisters have shared their fears around death.

Mum-of-two Anne admitted that she was scared about the prospect of losing her life to cancer.

The sobbing star told The Sun: "I don’t want to die. I love my life so much.

“I love my daughters, my grandchildren, my friends, all my family.

“I want to live for as long as I possibly can. I am scared of dying as well. Even though I believe in God, I’m still scared."

Maureen Nolan has now moved in with Anne to take care of her, while Linda is staying at Denise's house.

The sisters are both having six rounds of the treatment in total.
