It’s a time for forgiving and for forgetting.

....Or so Sir Cliff Richard tells us in Mistletoe and Wine.

So who better to join Sir Cliff at Christmas than an actress who has been hoping for both of those things in the past few months?

Yes, Lily James is preparing to make her first major appearance after the Dominic West scandal.

And fittingly it will be to deliver a heartfelt Christmas reading during next week’s Nordoff Robbins’ Christmas carol service, an event that has been regularly attended Dominic, 51, and wife of 10 years Catherine FitzGerald.

It comes after Lily, 31, pulled out of a number of planned interviews, including The Graham Norton Show, in October after photos emerged of her and Dominic cosying up on a Roman holiday –complete with that now infamous tandem scooter ride.

Both Dom and Catherine insisted they are “good”.

Other stars we can reveal will read at the music therapy charity’s event include Sir Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams and Bill Nighy. Roger Daltrey, Florence Welch, Sir Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams and Bill Nighy were already confirmed as appearing.

The carol service is being hosted by Nile Rogers, and livestreamed for free with an option of donating.

Some celebs will join via video and others will perform in Abbey Road Studios and St Luke’s Church, London.

The carols have not been released though one would bank on old favourites such as Oh Come All Ye Faithful.

Mmm. I wonder if Dom will have to give it a miss.

The Stars Come Out To Sing For Christmas is on December 15, 7pm, at carols.nordoff-robbins.org.uk.
