Lily James to 'face the music' in first TV talk show after trail of cancelled interviews

The actress is still scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon later on today after cancelling a string of interviews following her trip to Rome with Dominic West

Lily James is set to make her first TV appearance following the publication of pictures of her Roman holiday with married Dominic West.

After cancelling a slew of interviews since thosepictures came to light, the actress is still scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this evening to promote her new drama Rebecca, which is released on Netflix today.

Lily's name and picture appear in a promotional shot on the NBC website alongside snaps of actor Anthony Mackie and rapper Black Thought who are set to join her on the US talk show.

The chat with Jimmy will be the first time Lily, 31, has publicly spoken out following the controversy surrounding her weekend away with Pursuit of Love co-star Dominic, 50.

The actress has already pulled out of appearances on America's Today Show and The Graham Norton Show in recent days, to seemingly avoid addressing the scandal.

While a source also told Page Six that Lily attended a Hollywood Foreign Press event last Tuesday - the day after the photos were published- but backed out of interviews just 45 minutes before they were supposed to go ahead.

"She pulled out at the 11th hour. There was no explanation," they caimed.

BBC bosses were also forced to find a replacement for Lily when she withdrew from this Friday's Graham Norton Show.

It has since been revealed that her Rebecca co-star Dame Kristen Scott Thomas will take her place to plug the new TV adapation, which also stars Armie Hammer .

Lily's PR trail has been thrown off kilter after the media storm surrounding snaps that emerged of her and Dominic West in Rome last weekend.

The duo were seen zipping round the city together on an electric scooter before stopping off for an alfresco lunch where Dominic was seen touching Lily's face.

While Lily kept a low profile in the days that followed, Dominic made a public show of unity with his wife when he returned home to Wiltshire.

His wife Catherine FitzGerald gave her hubby a hug in front of the cameras as she held a sign that read: "Our marriage is strong and we're very much still together. Thank you."

The bizarre photocall led to an eyewitness on Dominic's BA flight out to Rome with Lily to speak out.

The onlooker said the pair, who share a twenty year age gap, looked as if they were on a 'dirty weekend' as they could not stop 'kissing and cuddling' each other.

"Within minutes of the plane leaving, they began kissing and cuddling after both removed their masks," they told the Sun On Sunday.

"They looked like a couple heading for a dirty weekend and they were all over each other. They were French kissing and there was a lot of necking going on."
