Lily James 'more determined than ever' to win back Matt Smith after Dominic West kiss scandal

Lily James and Matt Smith broke up back in December after five years together, and they briefly reunited before splitting for good in June

Lily James is said to be desperate to win back Matt Smith after she was caught kissing married actor Dominic West on a romantic break to Rome last month.

The Mama Mia 2 actress, 31, ended her five-year relationship with Matt back in December, and they briefly got back together before splitting for good in June.

Then in October she was seen kissing kissing West, 51, who is married to and has four children with Catherine Fitzgerald, with his loyal wife sticking by him and insisting their relationship is "fine".

Now Lily has found herself in the middle of a scandal, she's reportedly realised how good Matt was for her and is really hoping he'll give her a second chance.

A source told Heat magazine: "Lily's feeling insecure and vulnerable, given all the negative comments about her, and she could use a friend.

"Matt's a good guy - Lily sees that now more than ever, and is really hoping he believes in second chances the way she does.

"She knows she made a bad decision letting him go."

Mirror Online has contacted reps for Lily and Matt for comment.

Lily hasn't comment on the pictures of her kissing Dominic West in Rome.

An eye witness on Dominic and Lily's BA flight out to Italy described them as looking like 'two teenagers in love.'

Just days after the pictures were released, he was seen kissing his wife Catherine outside their home in a public show of unity.

The couple left a note outside their house for photographers, which read: "Our marriage is strong and we're very much still together."
