Devoted dad Liam Payne is said to have heeded a warning from mates to ease up on the partying.
One Direction singer Liam, 27, has taken their advice for the sake of his young son Bear, reports say.
The star, who recently got engaged to model girlfriend Maya Henry, is proud dad to three-year-old lad Bear, who he shares with his ex Cheryl.
Now reports claim he's completely ditched the booze, and hasn't had a drink for more than a month.
A source told The Sun that Liam was "jolted into action" after pals warned him a hard-partying lifestyle may have an impact on his son.
"Liam was taking things a bit far with partying," the insider claimed, "He was given warnings, heeded them and is now in a good place.
"The most worrying thing for him was he was told to consider whether he'd be around for Bear if he carried on the way he was going.
"It was a tough warning, probably exaggerated, but it jolted him into action as he's a devoted dad."
A spokesperson for Liam declined to comment.
He's been open about his relationship with alcohol during his One Direction days, previously telling The Guardian : "Doing a show to however many thousands of people, then being stuck by yourself in a country where you can't go out anywhere - what else are you going to do?
"The minibar is always there."
The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, with Liam, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson forging their own solo careers.
Zayn Malik, who left the band in 2015, has also stormed the solo act market.
Liam recently popped the question to girlfriend Maya Henry with a £3million ring.
Appearing on Good Morning America, the star dished: "We're just so happy!"
He added: "I mean, in the last week, I've just had a birthday, my son has gone to school for the first time today, so it seems like a lot of firsts for me, really, actually, which is great."
Liam previously shared that Maya helped him mend his heart after his split from Cheryl.
"Something really hurt me," Liam told, "and it kind of made me appreciate love and people a lot more, for the longest time, living such an exposed life made dating really hard.
