Lewis Capaldi says he couldn't pull girls at school because he stank of hot dogs

EXCLUSIVE: British superstar is having the last laugh now as he admits he was more lonely school kid than lothario because of his stinky lunch choices which made him sweat

Lewis Capaldi says he had no luck pulling girls at school because he smelled of hot dogs.

But the unlikely hunk has had the last laugh – as he now has enough money in the bank to buy a lifetime’s worth of wieners.

Recalling his lonely school days, the singer says: “I wasn’t a lothario by any means. It wasn’t my reality.

“Anyone who has two hot dogs with mayonnaise on them for their lunch every day is never going to be a lothario… and walks around smelling like a hot dog sweat.”

Since his hit song Someone You Loved helped put him on the road to success, the Glaswegian is now worth £8million and has dated Love Island beauty Paige Turley.

Lewis, who is back on the market since reportedly splitting from 21-year-old Scottish university student Catherine Halliday, reveals he “jumps the gun quite a bit” when it comes to romance.

“I’m quite on it,” he admits on the Headliners podcast.

“If someone sends me three kisses on a text, I’m like, ‘This is the one for me’. I don’t yearn to be in love, but I jump the gun quite a bit.

“It lends itself to writing good songs because you get your hopes up a bit. It’s good for songwriting because you can make mountains out of molehills in terms of the actual situation

“If someone speaks to me in a nice way… I could fall in love right here.

“I’m just a bit... maybe I read signals wrong. I try to keep it to myself for as long as possible.

“If I’m feeling like, this could be the start of something, I probably won’t tell that person I think that until we’ve been dating for a year.”

Lewis, 24, is right now busy working on new music with Rita Ora.

And while he may be pulling the girls now, he might want to check his etiquette after tweeting: “Letting wee farts slip out in the back of the Uber is pure nerve-wracking.

“High risk, high reward.”
