Pregnant Lacey Turner feels overjoyed to be having her second child with husband Matt Kay.

The EastEnders star, 32, was flooded with messages of congratulations after recently announcing that she's 16 weeks pregnant.

The couple, who already share one-year-old little girl Dusty, say they "feel so lucky" to having another "as it took so long to get Dusty."

Before falling pregnant with Dusty, Lacey suffered two miscarriages, both at seven weeks.

Lacey underwent tests which determined there was nothing medically wrong, and the couple couldn't get pregnant for half a year.

Eventually, they did, and welcomed Dusty in July last year.

"We didn't know if it was going to take years again so it was an amazing surprise," proud dad Matt told OK!

Lacey added: "It was a lovely surprise. It took so long with Dusty, but now they’re coming along like buses!

"After the heartbreak we went through, it's a miracle to fall pregnant so quickly."

And despite their baby joy, Lacey said that the worry is always there.

"I don't think pregnancy will ever be an exciting experience for me as I always have that worry in the back of my mind," she told, "but the further along I go in the pregnancy, the less I worry."

She went on to say that Matt helps her stay positive because he doesn't let "negative energy creep in."

They won't be finding out the gender any time soon, as they want it to be a surprise - but really wouldn't mind either way.

Lacey recently returned to EastEnders as Stacey Slater, only to uncover a secret love affair between hubby Martin Fowler (James Bye) and best mate Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

"It's always so much more fun to play a feisty character," Lacey laughed.

She's been on the soap since she was 16 years old, and was recently surrounded by a swirl of rumours that she could be taking a year-long break.

A source told The Daily Star on Sunday that show bosses have agreed to give her some time off.
