Kym Marsh proved that she just gets better with age in her latest Instagram snap.

The Michelle Connor actress, who left the Cobbles in an explosive exit last year, showcased her killer washboard abs as she vowed to be the "best version" of herself.

The actress treated her 445k followers to a motivational selfie as her abs could be spied making an appearance.

Wearing black leggings, Kym's sports bra read: "What's your why?" as she addressed her followers in the caption.

She penned: "'What's your why?' I absolutely love these sports bra's @dbasports it sounds mad but the captions motivate me!!! What what is my why?...... because I wanna be the best version of me I can be!"

The admirer added: "Healthy body, healthy mind! #fitover40 #gifted #dbasports #gomarshy!"

Nautrally, the snap had her fans flock to the comments section to compliment the former soap star on her glowing look.

One inspired fan wrote: "Ok so I need to pull myself out of my dark hole and sort my life out. Seeing you looking so fabulous and the picture I took tonight of myself has given me the jolt I needed. You are living your best life flower."

Another asked: "What his your workout routine if you don’t mind me asking . You look great. X."

A third added: "Looking great Kym xx."

While a fourth penned: "Kim you look very fit and healthy...best wishes."

And it seems as though her incredible physique isn't all that Kym's been working on.

The actress recently landed a presenting role on Morning Live alongside Welsh rugby ace Gethin Jones.

Kym said she feels "proud, lucky and excited" to be shifting base to London ahead of the BBC's new morning show.

She is now moving to London with daughter Polly, nine, as she takes on presenting duties.

She shares Polly with fellow soap actor Jamie Lomas, and also has 23-year-old Emily with Dave Cunliffe.

"By the time you read this you'll know that I've been announced as the host of BBC's new show, Morning Live, alongside Gethin Jones," she told readers of her OK! column.

"I am so excited to get started with filming later this month. I'll be moving to London for the series and Polly is coming with me.

"I'll be going back up north on weekends to see everyone and so that Polly gets to spend time with her dad."

She added: "It's such an amazing opportunity, I couldn't turn it down! It's been nearly a year since I filmed my last episode of Coronation Street and despite everything with coronavirus, I'm proud of what I've achieved.

"I feel very lucky and excited for this new chapter."

Morning Live marks a career first for Kym, who's Corrie exit brought to an end a 13-year stint on the soap.
